Notes
A beautiful example issued between 1954-64 in various colour finishes. This scarce version has a distinctive French blue cab and chassis, pale grey back and pale grey wheels. Smooth tyres. A darker shade to the usual mid-blue version and of course a more difficult find with light grey wheels. A fine lustre to the paint finish and a shiny baseplate.
There are a couple of little marks at the sides of the roof and a mere dot or two besides. Very faint roof rub caused by the box. Otherwise, finish is lustrous. Note silver super-detailing at the door handles.
The crisp, bright, clean box is complete with all end flaps, and the correct deep blue colour spot. Very nice indeed! Shopkeeper’s lightly pencilled price at an end flap.
