Dinky Toys 964 Elevator Loader
Elevator Loader by Dinky Toys, No. 964. Near mint plus/boxed. Includes layers of original packing, large card strip & Dinky Quality Control Tag! From The Reference Collection of fine Dinky Toys.
Notes
Every Dinky collector remembers these! A well-loved Dinky classic that will surely bring back happy memories. Re-numbered from 564 in 1954. This Elevator Loader has a bright yellow and mid blue finish with the original intact supple black rubber conveyor belt (so often these suffer over the years becoming brittle and breaking).
Occasional marks/rubs as you might expect. Bright metal parts. Nice to see that this example comes with the detachable plate which fits at the end of the hopper (often missing). Fine sheen to the paint finish. Bright winding handle.
The large striped Supertoys box is bright and clean. No graffiti. Both upper and lower packing pieces are present, as well as two thinner card pieces which help to support this model in the box. Complete with the additional
large card strip and the little Dinky Quality Control Tag too. Rare to find so complete.
Small seam repair and light wear. Couple of scuffs.

Typically these popular models cost a whopping 18/- at the time, significantly more than the Fodens etc. of the same era.
