This collection represents a lifelong deep appreciation of Dinky Toys, Britains models, Minic models and more primarily from the 1940’s & 50’s. All British made diecast and tinplate models. Proceeds going to charities close to his heart.

A scarce find.
This Dinky Shopkeeper’s Trade box contains 6 x Dinky 40A Riley Saloons (1947-53) as follows:

1) Light green, ridged deeper green wheels, smooth well-shaped black tyres. Bright baseplate. Fine silver trim Stray factory drip of silver near a headlight). Very near mint.

2) Very scarce deep green version with ridged deep green wheels, smooth well-shaped black tyres. Couple of small retouches. Very near mint.

3) Gloss cream with deep green ridged wheels. Smooth well-shaped black tyres. Very near mint.

4) Matte cream with ridged deep green wheels. Smooth well-shaped black tyres. Very near mint.

5) Grey version with matching ridged wheels. Smooth well-shaped black tyres. Very near mint.

6) Scarce Midnight Blue version with black ridged wheels*. Smooth well-shaped black tyres. Near mint with a very few subtle retouches. Some light bodyline rubs.

Straw-coloured Trade box shows a little age/handling wear. Note the pencilled later numbering ‘158’ on the lid and on one short lid end. With original dividers.
An interesting array of early Dinky Riley models.
