Dinky 432
Dinky 432 Guy Warrior Flat Truck. Very near mint/boxed. Window glazing version. Scarce model from The Rickman Collection.
Notes
A beautiful and original example of this version issued between 1960-64, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find. This particular example has a fresh green cab and chassis and such a vivid red flatbed. Only rarely do we see such a lustre! This is the later issue with window glazing.
Looking like old shop stock, this example has a couple of pin pricks and a very small faint crazing line at the back of the cab roof (casting). Very minor surface split to one tyre. Usual little marks at the tow hook. Very bright metal parts too.
The picture box is the correct late pale yellow issue. Notably, free from heavy handling wear (which is often the case), this box has a little grubbiness and old tape at both ends (probably applied by the shopkeeper to stop the model rolling out). One end is still sealed shut. Small start of a tear at an end flap seam and the letter ‘S’ is penned on the top surface.
