Notes
A striking Rover Saloon! With a wonderfully vibrant intense violet blue and rich cream finish, this example was made between 1956-59.
Note that this example has the large print and 156 on the baseplate ( tarnished now). Barely a mark to the lustrous paint finish!
The pictorial box shows the two-tone versions,and an ‘in the print’ blue and cream colour spot. More often found in the earlier box with single colour model pictured and a deep blue colour spot at an end flap.
A handsome model downgraded largely due to the base tarnishing.
