Issued between 1951-54, this Studebaker Milk Truck is a very scarce item and notable that it comes complete with all 10 little metal milk churns.
One of the best we have seen (these models are so prone to chipping particularly on the cream finish) with just two little chips. Little mark on the bonnet. Couple of mere dots besides. Complete ‘NESTLE’ lettering on both sides. Bright axles and baseplate.
Looks as if it has spent the past 60 or so years tucked away in its box. Remarkable!
Fresh and shiny baseplate belies those 60 years, and the tyres are supple and well-shaped too. Very carefully (and rarely) handled and stored well.
There are no touch-ins to the cream paint – when these models come to the market-place they nearly always have little touch-ins to the cream paint. This example is completely original and has a pleasing lustre. A beauty!
The distinctive deep red lift-off lid box is in excellent condition, with only minor age wear.
Deep yellow card packing piece inside for the storage of all the little milk churns. All 10 original churns are safely stored. Two red packing blocks are in situ too.
Complete, vivid yellow paper label at one end of the lid (correct). Occasional little scuff to the red finish of the box.
Such a pleasing example of a scarce French Dinky commercial.
