A first for QDT!
This is an extremely rare version in all original condition finished in a rich mid-brown with maroon wheels, smooth tyres (well-shaped). Bright baseplate generally (little rubbed area) and shiny button-ended axles. Tow hook. Chip on the flat bed, few marks on the cab roof, couple of marks behind the cab. Few little marks at some exposed edges besides. Issued between 1951-54.
This early issue would have been sold from a shopkeeper’s trade box of 6, so never boxed individually.
