D291
Dinky 291 London Bus "Exide". Rare issue with SPUN WHEELS. Near mint/boxed. From The Reference Collection of Dinky models compiled in The U.K.
Notes
Issued between 1962-63, this model has a beautiful, glossy, unfaded red paint finish , and rare to find with spun wheels. As-new , treaded tyres, a Leyland grille and notably complete ‘Exide Batteries’ labels at the sides and ‘73’ on destination boards at front and rear.
Hard to find a mark, but under minute scrutiny, a few minor touch-ins may be seen.
The correct, later issue pictorial card box is crisp with vivid colours and all end flaps intact. A little light handling wear (minor creasing and the tiniest start of an end flap tear). Penned collector’s notes on the inside of one large end flap (he/she purchased the model in 1964).
