C261
Corgi 261 James Bond's Aston Martin D.B.5. Near mint/boxed. With a full Secret Instruction Packet and suspension on all four wheels. From The London Collection.
Notes
One of the most popular Corgi models ever, issued between 1965-69.
It is in all original condition with none of the reproduction accessories, rife with this issue.
The Aston Martin DB5 is attractively finished in deep gold. Fully functioning, complete with both figures of James Bond and villain. Suspension on wire wheels. Fine tread, split-free original tyres. A few small marks to the roof and surround (minor).
The colourfully illustrated card plinth on which the model sits is crisp, bright and fresh with a little wear and tear at some of the wheel slots.
The Instruction Packet has been opened (little wear and tear) and inside there are the all-important Secret Instructions which detail the retractable machine guns, opening roof and ejector seat (for dispensing with the villain!), rear bullet screen and telescopic over-riders. All have been tested and work perfectly! The packet also contains the unapplied 007 badge which is still affixed to the backing sheet. Inside the packet, too, there is the spare villain figure, in case the first one goes astray!
The outer box is bright and complete with all end flaps. A little minor age wear at edges and corners. No graffiti.
All in all, this a piece of Corgi history and a nostalgic treat! An iconic James Bond item.
