Notes
From an investment collection of high quality models.
This attractive Gift Set was inspired by the t.v. show ‘The Avengers’ and is a superb , original unused example, issued between 1966-69.
It comprises:
1) John Steed’s Bentley in red and black finish, complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel.
2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 is in sparkling white finish. Suspension on shaped spun wheels. Original figure of Emma Peel.
Nearly always all missing – this set comes with the three plastic umbrellas!
Inner card plinth is in excellent condition with generally bright graphics on crisp card. Note that one edge and the reverse of the card plinth is sunfaded now. Minor wear at one wheel slot. Notably both the pull tabs at the ends are present and intact (often torn off or missing). Lovely, bright, fresh, crisp feel.
Outer box is one of the best we have seen with wonderfully vibrant colours on crisp fresh card.
Tiniest wear only. Uncreased and unfolded Corgi Club Membership Form is still present, too.
Comes complete with the card wrap-around packing piece too.
A beautiful, sought-after Gift Set.
