W221
Wiking Volkswagen Minibus. Mint/boxed. Red & pale grey. From a fine collection in Hamburg.
Notes
A note from the vendor:
These Wiking models are quite rare. They are in 1:40 scale and were exclusively made for Volkswagen in the 50s and 60s of the last century. They were give-aways for new car buyers (to please their little boys I assume). It is interesting to know that Wiking made these cars in the same colours the originals were, also they were pure promotional items for VW only and never available in the shops.
Those without windows are extremely rare and achieve high prices when available.
This delightful Volkswagen Minibus has a pleasing red and pale grey finish with light grey matching wheels and trim. Plastic. Grey seating, white steering wheel, silver trim, window glazing.
In mint condition presented in a colourful, as-new, fresh card box with correct colour spot at an end flap – a high quality item as usual from this collector!
