D512
Dinky 512 Guy Flat Truck. Very, very near mint/boxed. Scarce bright mid-blue & red issue. From 1955. One of 2 items just released from one of the most exacting collector's personal stash of models.
Notes
An all-original scarce issue made during 1954-55. This truck has a bright and distinctive mid-blue cab and chassis, (more usual finish is violet blue), red back, mid-blue ridged hubs. Large painted hook. Second type cab so this model has triangular lugs at either side of the front number plate. Barely any marks at all e.g. only a couple of the most minute edge rubs. So rare in this condition!
Cab roof and wheel arches are unmarked, axles, bolt fixing and baseplate are shiny. Bright silver radiator and lights. Paint finish is vibrant and glowing. Complete with spare wheel.
Marked Dinky Toys on the base.
The blue and white striped picture box is complete and bright with no splits. Clean and vivid. Shopkeeper’s period price is penned at one lid end. Dinky stamp inside the box lid dates this model from 1955.
An outstanding and lustrous example of a sought-after Dinky commercial truck in stunning, barely touched, original condition.
