Notes

Issued between 1968-74, this 1st issue version contains:
’Zebra-striped Land-Rover with an intact circular ‘LIONS OF LONGLEAT’ label on the bonnet . Opened hatch on the cab roof shows the keeper complete with the (usually missing!) rifle . Spun wheels with suspension. Couple of little chips at the rear.
Also included is the plastic lion’s den which is complete with two male lions, one female, three portions of meat and a red barrel.

The polystyrene plinth is repaired in 3 places now. The original little sticky pads are in place so that you can fix the lions and meat in place on both the plinth and in the plastic den.

The card box is bright and fresh with smooth original cellophane (refitted in place now, since the glue dried out). Couple of tiny creases – the card is clean, fresh and feels as if it has barely been handled. Notably, this example comes complete with the original and pristine detachable header card/retailer card.
