C223
Corgi 223 Chevrolet Impala "State Patrol". Very, very near mint/boxed. Paper label version. Original card packing piece. From a very fine private Cheshire collection.
Notes
This U.S. Police Car was issued between 1959-61 and is in superb, all original condition, complete with straight aerial and especially bright and fresh, intact paper ‘State Patrol’ labels on both sides (often they can become quite transparent with age. Happy to say that these paper labels are completely unaffected!.. This car has a shining black finish with a silver stripe on both sides, detailed lemon interior, early flat spun wheels with suspension.
One or two negligible rubs only to the lustrous paint finish. The pictorial card box is very crisp, bright and fresh. Tiny start of a seam tear.
Nice to see that this example comes complete with the card packing ring too!
The box has picked up a couple of rust spots during storage at some time (presumably next to something quite rusty!).
