C1144
Corgi 1144 Chipperfield's Circus Scammell Crane with Rhino Cage. Very near mint/ box wear. From the Italian collection.
Notes
Issued between 1969-72. It comprises a Scammell Handyman MKIII in blue and red finish with a silver jib and hook as well as a rhinocerous in a plastic cage.
A fine, unused example – which has barely been out of its box and certainly never been played with! Complete “Come to the Circus” label correctly on one side only.
Small amount of dulling on the crane in a couple of places (minor) . None of the usual chipping at wheel arches, cab roof etc. Rhino and cage are in unused condition with the little stiffer cellophane packing piece still in place.
Fragile, white plastic inner is complete, although it has a few little splits (as is so often the case) and a couple of staples.
The outer box has bright colours and is complete with all end flaps. Minor wear and tear at end flaps. The cellophane has been replaced at some time.
