Notes
Issued between 1961-62, this early version has a very fine, vivid red and black finish, yellow interior and flat spun wheels.
A stunning, unused example with complete ‘Midland Red’ transfers on both sides, Birmingham -London paper labels (tiniest top edge wear to one) as well as ‘London Motorway Express’ label on the destination board above the cab.
We have not seen better!
The early lift-off lid box is complete, vividly-coloured and intact with just a couple of minor rubbing. A little penned numbering on the box base underside. Nice example!
