C267
Corgi 267 Batmobile. Scarce early issue. Near mint plus/pictorial card box. With complete Instruction Envelope. All original. Also included - a large Dealer Packet containing 1 additional set of missiles on sprue (only). From a very fine private Cheshire collection.
Notes
The most sought-after, first issue pictorial card box version. Batmobile is in close to mint condition with a lustrous original gloss black finish, straight aerial, intact blue screens, both seated figures of Batman and Robin. Bright chrome at cockpit and launch tubes. All gadgets function. Bright bat hubs and suspension on all four wheels. Tow hook. Looks stunning!
Closest scrutiny reveals a few small marks only, head-on, a little mark at two wheel arches, and at an exposed side edge (hard to notice) .
The pictorial card inner display stand with lots of atmospheric graphics is in close to perfect condition. Colours are day-one vivid and the card is crisp and uncrumpled. Even three of the four wheel slot push- out pieces are present! A little minor wear to one wheel slot.
The Instruction Packet has been opened (carefully so no tears) and inside are the Instructions, sprue of 12 yellow missiles ( one detached) and the all-important and often missing lapel badge still on the backing strip.
The outer box look clean, fresh and bright with quite a crisp feel to the intact card.
Strong vivid colours and all end flaps complete and intact. Some light creasing at end flaps and very minor handling wear besides, including a very small start of a seam tear (really minor).
Included is a rare Dealer Packet which would have included spare sprues of missiles to demonstrate the Batmobile function (and probably would have been given out to Batmobile owners who lost theirs!).
