C261
Corgi 261 James Bond's Aston Martin D.B.5. Very near mint (no front wheel suspension)/boxed. With all accessories and additional colour leaflet. From a very fine private Cheshire collection.
Notes
Certainly, one of the most popular Corgi models ever, issued between 1965-69. Inspired by the film ‘Goldfinger’, an iconic Corgi model was born!
In authentic condition throughout with a lustrous gold finish, this James Bond Aston Martin model is in close to mint condition. The car is fully functioning, complete with both figures. A most attractive and eye-catching example – not even a chip in the centre of the roof!
All gadgets have been tested and work perfectly!
Couple of negligible dots (looks unused). However, there is no suspension to the front wheels now – the car sits very well nonetheless and for display purposes, the lack of suspension on the front wheels is irrelevant.
The plinth on which the model sits is complete and the strongly-coloured artwork is a fitting backdrop.
A couple of tears at two wheel slots caused by movement of the car in the box. Small rub to the card near the Aston Martin lettering. Both pull-out tabs are present and intact.
Secret Instructions Packet has been opened carefully. Inside, are the Secret Instructions and the often missing badge on its backing sheet. Spare villain too. Note that all accessories are the originals – and not reproductions. This James Bond item is guaranteed authentic throughout.
The outer box is very clean, bright and fresh, looking and feeling as if it has been handled rarely. Crisp. No graffiti. Very small end flap seam tear and tiny wear besides.
One of the most sought-after Corgi models!
