Notes

Scarce early issue finished in vibrant red and that includes the metal (not plastic) sliding doors. Day-one vibrant red and blue paint finish. None of the usual sunfading to the red or rubbing to the blue ‘Chipperfields’ lettering. Correct that this early issue would have flat spun wheels. Intact tow hook, drawbar, and amber roof glass.

Upon close inspection, you will see a few tiny marks at the hinged metal doors/moving parts (practically unavoidable).
Nice to see that this example includes the unnapplied ‘POLAR BEARS’ transfer, printed notice from Corgi, ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form, and packing card! Two polar bears are included too!

Lift-off lid pictorial box has a couple of small scuffs. Hard to fault otherwise. Shopkeeper’s pencilled price on the base underside.
A very fine example of this scarce early issue with accessories, leaflets and unapplied transfers.
