This first type commercial truck is finished in two tone green. Issued between 1952-54. Correct early version without triangular lugs at the sides of the number plate. Displays well:
Usual paint loss to the large painted hook and some light rubbing/wear to the paint finish at exposed edges. Couple of marks at tailboard edge tips. Small area of rough casting at one tailboard side edge.
The powder blue box is very fine indeed! Lovely vivid colours on the complete and fresh-looking paper label. Minimal wear only. Neatly pencilled shopkeeper’s period price at the lid end label. One end of the lid is a little sunfaded.
