The first we have offered for sale in many years, this is the rare last issue with red plastic wheels and paper labels at the sides.

The original red paint finish is vibrant with no trace of sunfading! The tinplate tanker is undented, although there are a few ‘darkened’ areas (not repainting) but probably a reaction due to residue when the paper labels were applied. Few spots of light blistering too. Intact ladder and manhole covers. The original paper labels at the sides (usual version has transfers) are bright although there are a few nicks at some edges (one very small piece has been fixed back into place). Rear transfer has a couple of small marks. Red plastic wheels are intact and the tyres are fine. Baseplate and metal parts generally are shiny.
Few little chips to the cab and a couple at some wheel arches.
The striped Supertoys box is complete and brightly-coloured with no splits. Very small area of surface removal at one end of the lid and very light wear besides. A little of the expected shelf wear to box base underside. No graffiti.
An exceptionally scarce Dinky commercial.
