Notes
An outstanding 1st issue example made between 1947-48 in this rare khaki and black finish with green wheels. Correct that this early issue does not have triangular lugs next to the number plate. Early ridged wheels, and rear axle fixed by tin clips. Small unpainted hook. A wonderful lustre to this distinctive paint finish:

Bright baseplate and metal parts generally:

Upon close scrutiny, you will notice that there are a few of the usual little marks at wheel arches, tiny negligible edge rub to the flatbed, and a curious black line of paint on the inside edge of the passenger window frame.
Looks unused – the lustre is superb, head-on is unblemished, and the roof is unchipped (unless you count the two tiny near-microscopic dots at one edge.)

The correct early buff box with a complete picture label is clean, bright and fresh. Looks sturdy with just a small seam tear in the base. Minimal handling wear besides. Shopkeeper’s pencilled price at one end and there is a Dinky stamp ‘R’ in red.
