What a rare treat this is! A first issue example from 1947-48 only, in the scarce maroon and black finish in virtually mint condition -so tempted to call this one mint!
Such a fine lustre to this distinctive warm finish! Spare wheel, small unpainted hook. Upon the most rigorous examination, one can see a couple of the tiniest negligible marks – we have not seen better!
Correct early box with a bright and complete paper label.
No splits or graffiti and presents very well alongside this desirable Dinky truck. Original owner’s name has been largely erased from the lid. Shopkeeper’s pencilled price at the lid end. Rusty staples now.
This particular colour finish is a difficult find in any condition. You may have to wait a very long time to find another so fine!
