This Leyland Comet Lorry is in glowing bright condition with a distinctive and scarce paint finish; French blue (not Royal blue), rich mid-brown/dark tan back and light blue wheels. Bright baseplate and axles, including the ends.
Small dot on a wheel arch and a couple of very tiny marks besides. There is a re-touch on the cab roof and a couple of very tiny subtle touch-ins on the brown stake back. Hard to see unless you are really looking for them.
The early blue box with an orange picture label is a delight! Vivid colours and a complete paper label on crisp intact card. Some rusting at the staples. Shopkeeper’s pencilled price of 5/4 at one end as well as a Dinky colour stamp ‘B’.
