Notes
Issued between 1948-52, this exceptionally fresh and bright 1st type Foden has a vivid red cab and chassis, fawn back and silver flash. Such an attractive lustre to the paint finish!
Fine tread radial tyres and hook. Tanker slits. Large unpainted hook, spare wheel and shiny baseplate, axles etc.
Upon closest inspection, there are three very small touch-ins on the roof (but you have to be really eagle-eyed to spot them!). None of the usual marks at wheel arches, top of thefawn back, inside the bed etc. and the paint finish looks day-one bright.
The early powder blue box with a paper label is extremely clean and bright. Very difficult to find this nice!
Minor puncture to the box base. No graffiti. None of the usual rubbing at edges.
An outstanding display piece.
