Purchased by us in 2002 from a designer who worked at Dinky during the 1970’s. This pre-production sample is uniquely finished in royal blue and white, and fitted with both ‘SHELL’ and ‘BURMAH’ labels. (please see standard versions for comparison which are included in this sale).

This exciting pre-production piece is in very near mint condition (minor mark or two), and includes our original supporting letter given to the person to whom we sold it in 2002.

Both standard examples are in very near mint, old shop stock condition, complete with polystyrene packing (some of which has become attached to some of the tyres, although easily removed). The ‘Shell’ example has intact black filler caps, the ‘Burmah’ example intact grey filler caps. Boxes have minor wear and intact original cellophane.
