An eye-catching Ford ‘SNCF’ model finished in bright mid-blue with a darker blue tinplate tilt. Complete detailed transfers “Societe National Des Chemins De Fer Francais” on both sides, black ridged wheels, ‘M’ embossed tyres, bright button-ended axles. later issue with a separate tow hook.

This example has survived better than most. Pleasing lustre to the all original paint finish. Slight rough casting with a couple of small paint bubbles on one side. Few small marks to the exposed edge on one side. Undented tinplate tilt.
Never individually boxed, but sold from a shopkeeper’s trade box.
Very difficult to find in any condition. 1951-52.
