Presented in the dual-numbered box, this model marks the transition from the older numbering of 23H to 234 in 1954.
This model has a fine original paint finish with a pleasing lustre to the vivid colours. Complete racing number 5 on both sides, bright baseplate with 234 stamped. Usual little mark to the driver’s head and a few tiny marks at the nose head-on.
The more unusual dual-numbered box is complete, if a little worn now with a large tear at an end flap. Grubbiness and a shopkeeper’s pencilled price at an end flap.
