Such a bright and fresh Dinky Guy Van! Issued between 1954-56 and scarce in such fine condition, this is the more unusual dual-numbered transitional issue when the model changed from 514 to 917. Perfect eye-catching transfers on both sides with the letters forming the shape of a dog. This model has come from a U.S. collector and looks like unsold old shop stock; actually, this model was purchased new at the time and stashed away until now:

With just one little mark at a back door handle, a few at a front wheel arch and at one roof edge. Beautiful lustre to the original paint finish – this is a real beauty on display.
The box too is extremely fresh and bright with no splits or repairs. Looks as-new in fact, we have not seen better!

Note the export label Hudson Dobson at one side of the lid. Old shop price label at one end of the lid shows that this model was originally purchased in Seattle.
