This popular three-part military set was issued for a long time, starting in 1957 until as late as 1971. This is one of the earliest examples dated 1957 (Dinky stamp inside the box lid). So this example has metal (not plastic) wheels and no window glazing (later issues would have window glazing).

1)Dinky 688 Field Artillery Tractor, in very near mint condition with driver, spare wheel and tow hook. Matt military green finish, bright baseplate. Squadron markings.

2) Dinky 687 Trailer or Limber, in near mint condition, with expected chipping at the tow ring. Dulling to the baseplate.

3) Dinky 686 25-Pounder Field Gun, in mint condition!

Obviously an unused set.

All housed in the attractive, bright yellow lift-off lid display box, with original insert in which all three are placed. Minor age grubbiness and the occasional little scuff to this box.

Very small paper tear to one edge of the lower half of the box (minor).
Small amount of surface removal where the original sticky tape holding the box closed is partially removed. Crumple to one corner of the lid.
