There were lots of colour versions of this popular Dinky toy!
This version has a light tan cab, mid green back, red wheels, black lettering, window glazing. An all original example – complete with a working tow hook. “DINKY SERVICE” lettering is complete on both sides (although there is a little stray black paint (factory) on one side).
Gleaming paint finish shows that this truck has had careful handling.
Bright winding handle, baseplate and axles, including the ends.
Two small marks to the light tan finish which are easily overlooked, and one mark to the edge of the green back (behind the cab).
The correct yellow picture box (with windows printed) is intact, clean with vivid, fresh colours. None of the expected rubbing at edges.
Bright staples. Crease or two to the base. There is a water stain visible on the inside of the lid, which does not seem to have affected the outside of the lid at all. Shopkeeper’s lightly pencilled price at one end of the lid.
Nice to see that this example comes complete with a card packing piece which fits behind the cab as well as a Dinky Quality Control Tag!
