What a treat!
Second issue of this scarce model in pale lemon with a light blue roof, smooth hubs. One-piece windscreen. Wonderful day-one lustre throughout; this Bedford Van has been very carefully handled and stored. Very bright and fresh with a shining baseplate.
Surely few have survived in such glowing fresh condition:
If one is being extra-fussy, one could note that there is a very small casting mark on the roof and the occasional little micro dot.
The crisp and silky early blue box is in superb condition with day-one vivid colours again. It is easy to forget just how bright these boxes can be, since so often these early boxes suffer from sunfading and can look very tired. Feels as if this box has been opened only a few times ever! A couple of very minor light creases. A neatly pencilled shopkeeper’s price on one end flap.
Inside is the shop-fresh, neatly folded, colour promotional leaflet which often accompanied these early Corgi models.
Displays beautifully. The cream of the Corgi crop!
