Notes
1st type issue, made between 1948-52. Shiny and all original two-tone blue paint finish with a silver flash and fine tread radial tyres. Nice to see that the tinplate tank is not dented or rusty and that the axles/baseplate are bright.
Several chips to the paint finish, mostly to the sides of the tank and exposed edges (e.g. wheel arches and cab roof edge). 20 mph transfer still in place behind one of the rear wheel arches.
This tanker comes complete with a very nice blue box with a paper label. Very little age wear apart from rusty staples. The colours are vivid, and the box is clean with no graffiti or splits.
