Notes
This is the first issue from 1961 in deep metallic blue finish with raised lemon “ECURIE ECOSSE” lettering on both sides. Shaped spun wheels. Yellow interior. Grey base. A great item to display especially with a selection of Corgi racing cars from the same era – this transporter would hold three.
Barely a mark on this model, surely rarely out of its box, and with such a fine lustre throughout, it is hard to resist! One of the best examples we have seen in a long while.

Difficult to find mint, since they were popular at the time – a firm favourite for ‘transporting’ Corgi cars around!
Upon close inspection, there is just the near-inevitable mark where the door slides at the side and a faint rub on the raised point on the roof. A small mark or two may be seen if one really scrutinises. None of the expected marks head-on or indeed at exposed edges generally. This transporter has remained tucked away in its box for the past 45+ years!
The colourful pictorial box is complete and vividly-coloured. Some rubbing at edges, but no splits or graffiti. Notably, this model comes complete with its internal packing and the so-often discarded leaflet!
