Corgi Toys Gift Set 36 Toronado & Speedboat

Notes

At QDT, we were thrilled to receive an email one day from the son of Nigel Loveland, the Sales Director for Corgi.
His name is highly significant because many exceptionally rare, pristine, and “factory fresh” Corgi models originally originated from his personal collection or direct factory stock.

A very popular Corgi Gift Set issued 1967-71.

This two-part Gift Set comprises:

Corgi 264 Oldsmobile Toronado in metallic peacock blue, cream interior, detailed cast wheels with suspension, tow hook, swivelling headlights. Couple of little marks at the rear probably caused by contact with the Trailer. Note that one headlight jewel is missing too.

Chrome Trailer with cast wheels. Close to mint. Minor dulling to the chrome finish at the rear. Break to one side strut. With blue card packing piece on the underside.

Glastron Sportsman Speedboat. Bright paper labels ‘Swordfish’ on both sides, intact windscreen. With three original figures and intact twin outboard motors. Break to one small strut. Note the deep blue card packing piece wedged underneath.

Polystyrene plinth is complete, intact and bright. No orange card backdrop. Note the original elastic bands still present.
Cellophane-fronted window box is complete, crisp and brightly-coloured.

Intact original cellophane.
With plain card over-sleeve.
