Notes
This Gerry Anderson model inspired by the t.v. series ‘Captain Scarlet & The Mysterons’ is in all original, very close to mint condition, carefully handled and stored.
This version has a pleasing metallic blue finish, with original figure of Captain Scarlet and two firing front rockets.
Later style decorative transfers. SPV paper labels. The Captain Scarlet mechanism functions well (note this is the slightly later simplified version where the seat containing Captain Scarlet does not lower) . White bumper, harder to find black base.
2nd issue with white plastic cover on the door release mechanism on the roof.
The brightly-coloured pictorial inner card plinth is an excellent backdrop for the model. Vivid fresh card and day-one bright colours on crisp card. Couple of small wheel slot tears caused by movement of the model in the box.
Instruction Leaflet still present.
Nice to see the card packing ring & packing foam are still present.
With two firing rockets.
Large pictorial outer box impresses with bright colours on fresh, intact card. Slightly later card version without cut-out slots at sides of the end flaps. Light wear.
One of the nicest examples we have seen in a long while.
