Dinky Supertoys 919 Guy Van "Golden Shred"
Guy Van "Golden Shred" by Dinky Supertoys, NO. 919. Near mint plus/boxed. From 1957. One of the most eye-catching Dinky Advertising Vans. From The Hampshire Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1957-58, the golden age of Dinky! This is one of the most eye-catching Dinky models you can buy and it is always an exciting find. This sought-after van has an original red paint finish throughout and highly decorative transfers on both sides. Virtually mint transfers on both sides. Wonderfully vibrant, unfaded original paint finish throughout. Bright base.
A very few tiny marks to the paint finish – and of course, the Van is notably without retouching (sadly, not often the case with these high profile Vans).
The box is clean and brightly-coloured throughout. Couple of little scuffs on the box face. This example is dated from 1957 (Dinky stamp on the inside of the box lid).
A highlight in any collection.
