Corgi Toys 471 Smith's Mobile Canteen 'JOE'S DINER'
Smith's-Karrier Mobile Canteen by Corgi Toys, No. 471. Very near mint/boxed. From The Elmer Collection.
Notes
A delightful model from Corgi issued between 1965-66 with ingenious “glowing” Trans-O-Lite lighting. Glossy, original paint finish throughout. Spring suspension on shaped spun wheels, and the chef rotates when the knob on the roof is turned. Complete “Joe’s Diner” labels.
Tiny nick to the background of the SNACK BAR label, very small mark to the opening side edge of the serving hatch (usually much more marked at this vulnerable area) and a near-microscopic dot or two to the paint finish. Well-shaped tyres.
The box is complete and bright, showing a little age/handling wear only. No leaflet.
