Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This particular example is a difficult find in silver, with black interior, pink tonneau, both seated figures, intact screen.
No ‘Dinky Toys’ on base, but ‘PLYMOUTH FURY’ present.
Both aerials are present and complete notably. One-piece plastic wheel and tyre construction. Tinplate base. Opening bonnet with engine detail. Headlight detail and painted rear lights.
Virtually mint.
Colourful card box is the version with a sea-side scene as the backdrop. An excellent example by Nicky standards, although note a part surface tear to the underside. Light wear besides.
Period Nicky Toys catalogue included. 16 colour pages with no tears. Period Bangalore shop stamp.
