This collection represents a lifelong deep appreciation of Dinky Toys, Britains models, Minic models and more primarily from the 1940’s & 50’s. All British made diecast and tinplate models. Proceeds going to charities close to his heart.
A remarkable cache of Dinky Morris Oxford models – all carefully hand-picked and kept safe and sound for many years in this Trade 40G Trade Box with original dividers.
This cache comprises:
1) Stone with grey cast wheels and smooth well-shaped original tyres. Correct that these early issues have a railed baseplate and no name cast on the roof underside. Silver trim. Virtually mint!
2) Bright mid-green with such a fine finish. Lighter green wheels. Virtually mint with smooth well-shaped original tyres. Correct that these early issues have a railed baseplate and no name cast on the roof underside. Silver trim.
3) Two-tone version in green & cream is a wonderful, virtually mint example. Smooth well-shaped original tyres. Correct that these early issues have a railed baseplate and no name cast on the roof underside. Silver trim.
4) Two-tone version in green & cream is a remarkable jewel of a car in mint condition. Smooth well-shaped original tyres. Correct that these early issues have a railed baseplate and no name cast on the roof underside. Silver trim.
Bright yellow Dinky Trade Box is sturdy with no tears or repairs. Traces of the old tape which kept the lid closed. Light wear. Nice to see this set comes with all the original card dividers too!
