It is exciting enough to find any Dinky model in shop-fresh condition ? how rare it is to find classic Dinky commercial models in this condition!
A stunning example of this second type Foden with a deep violet blue cab and chassis, rare burnt orange back, paler blue ridged wheels, grey tyres. Such a fresh, shining paint finish on this unused truck in all original condition, issued during 1952-53:

Brightest baseplate too:

Trace of a rub on the cab roof, and a few marks at a couple of wheel arches, probably due to some box contact/rubbing – this truck has certainly not been played-with. Small area of rough casting/thin paint on the tailboard.

The best example of this scarce version, we have seen.
The deep blue, paper label box is intact and fresh – the colours have lost none of their vibrancy.

Minor rubbing at edges and a shopkeeper’s price of 6/9 on the lid and shopkeeper’s re-numbering to 903 at one end. Nice to see the original packing card piece still present too!

A special, scarce Foden – and a rare find in this condition!
