A scarce find. This Dinky Shopkeeper’s Trade box contains 6 x Dinky 39B Oldsmobile ‘Six’ Sedans (1947-50) as follows:
1) Deep violet blue, ridged black wheels, smooth black tyres. Bright baseplate (a little etching in one small area). Smooth original tyres are well-shaped. Fine silver trim.
Displays well. Very near mint.
2) Deep blue with ridged black wheels, smooth white tyres (possible replacements). Near mint.
3) Sand with matching ridged wheels. Near mint plus.
4) Brown with ridged black wheels. Excellent plus.
5) Rare export version in sand with deep grey ridged wheels. Excellent.
6) Rare export version in beige with brown ridged wheels. Excellent.
Buff Trade box has a near complete informative label on a short lid end. With original dividers present although note that the ‘short’ divider is incomplete. The box has a couple of old tape repairs and a small handling tear. ‘6’ penned on the lid. Ink smudge.
An interesting array of early Dinky OLdsmobile models.
