Notes
A sought-after Gift Set issued between 1953-54.
It comprises:
1) 23G Cooper-Bristol in green, racing number 6. Very near mint.
2) 23F Alfa Romeo in red, racing number 8. Very near mint.
3) 23h Ferrari in blue, racing number 5. Very near mint
4) 23J HWM in light green with racing number 7. Very near mint. Minor tarnishing to base.
5) 23N Maserati. Very near mint.
Each racing car is set on the original slotted card insert which is clean and complete. Printed lettering is crisp and bright.
2 minor careful glue repairs and a couple of small areas of surface loss caused by original tape removal on the underside.
The colourful striped box lid is vibrantly-coloured.
Small area of surface loss caused by the removal of the old tape which kept the lid closed has been disguised at some time with carefully applied colour.
Not often found with the correct card packing piece which fits over the models when stored in the box.
