A rare find.
This early issue Austin Somerset Saloon has a rich original maroon finish and markedly different to the bright red version issued during this period.
For comparison only, please do take a look at this maroon version when placed alongside the bright red version, also available separately at time of writing):
This maroon version has bright red ridged wheels, generally bright baseplate with 40J cast (couple of small areas of tarnishing).
Occasional tiny mark to the all original finish.
Smooth original tyres are well-shaped.
