Dinky Toys 982 Pullmore Car Transporter & 974 Loading Ramp
Pullmore Car Transporter by Dinky Toys, No. 982 & 974 Loading Ramp. Early issue without windows. Generally very near mint/boxed, with D974 Loading Ramp (in sleeve-style box). Very, very near mint/boxed. From The Reference Collection.
Notes
A little more unusual in this presentation with the ramp included – earlier issues did not include a ramp which was available separately.
This particular issue has a mid blue cab and hubs, with a paler blue back including the decks. Virtually complete – complete ‘DINKY TOYS DELIVERY SERVICE’ lettering on both sides and back. Large baseplate print with 982 stamped on the trailer. The sheen on this model shows that it has been handled only occasionally. Smooth original tyres run well.
Usual marks around the hinged ramp which are practically unavoidable. A few very small marks besides. A few small patches of light ‘blooming’ to the paint finish in places (often the case).
The ‘Dinky Supertoys’ striped box is the slightly wider version, since it does contain the ramp (printed on the box too). It is complete and bright, feeling sturdy. Light wear and a tiny area of surface loss where a price label (we assume) was removed at some time. Rusty staples.
Dinky 794 Loading Ramp is in virtually mint condition, and the yellow card sleeve-style box is complete, clean and bright. Fresh, with a crisp feel. Very light wear.
