This fine Dinky commercial truck has a deep, lustrous, maroon paint finish throughout, with red grooved Supertoy wheels. Displays well.
Dated 1956 due to the Dinky stamp inside the box lid. The condition belies its age – there are few marks on this truck. Occasional tiny retouch at some wheel arches visible under magnification and a strong light. Note the 20 mph sign still in place at one rear wheel arch and there is scarcely any of the expected rubbing to the straight chain post tops.
Rounded (not dimpled) chain post bosses underneath. 9 black radial tyres (including the spare) are well-shaped. Dulling to the spare wheel fixing.
The striped Supertoys box is clean bright and complete. Looks fresh and well-stored. Very minor age wear. LF (lead free) sticker is still in place at the box lid end.
One of the core classic commercial pieces for any Dinky collection.
