Notes
A very fine first issue example of this early French Dinky truck made between 1956-59. This version has the pierced detailing at the beam beneath the logs, and of course, it was later renumbered 897. Correct painted convex wheels hubs to the front of the cab, rear four wheels are concave. This truck has barely been handled and has a lustrous burnt orange paint finish, with six logs. Bright metal parts, including the stanchions. Spare wheel stored behind the cab.
Usual (unavoidable) marks where metal meets metal at the point where the trailer attaches to the cab. Looks like unsold shop stock.
The correct early box is very fresh tooA little sunfading to the strip of the box lower not covered by the lid. Minor shelf wear to the underside.
