This mirror finish Glass Sign is an especially difficult find. The eye-catching bold lettering in orange-red ‘MECCANO, TRAINS, HORNBY, DINKY TOYS’ has a bright yellow background. Mirror-finish. Measures approx. 65cms x 17.5cms
Note the small area of loss to the orange red colour on letter ‘A’ of Meccano.
Corner chip to glass – this sign could be placed within a frame and so the chip would not be visible.
Period wiring has not been tested but originally this sign was illuminated.
Some tarnishing to the metal fittings – may be improved with careful cleaning.
Note the period French address on the reverse too.
