Issued between 1968-74, this particular example in the later ‘Rainbow’ window box was issued toward the end of this period.
It contains a ‘Zebra-striped’ Land-Rover with a perfect circular ‘LIONS OF LONGLEAT’ label on the bonnet. Opened hatch on the cab roof shows the keeper complete with the (usually missing!) rifle. Occasional tiny mark to the paint finish.
Also included is the plastic lion’s den which is complete with two male lions, one female, three portions of meat, and a red barrel.
The later issue ‘Rainbow’ window box is bright and clean. Quite a crisp feel. Card is tear-free. Note that new cellophane has been fitted at some time. Yellow card packing insert is bright, clean and fresh. Pencilled writing on box underside.
