Notes

An exciting and scarce example of the Saint’s Volvo with the Matchstick logo on a cream background and whizzwheels.
Issued between 1970-72 with a yellow interior and Whizzwheels.
This later issue would usually have the white Saint’s logo on a red bonnet label.
A virtually mint model with a complete bonnet transfer.

Corgi toys 201 the saint's volvo p1800 cc440 base

Bright, and complete card box with intact cellophane and card inner. Crisp. Tiny grubbiness.
Note the most interesting period Valencia label on the base.
It appears that some prototypes and factory samples were sent to this Valencia distributor back in the day. We assume that he would test the market response overseas?
We have no more further information on this at present unfortunately
